In the news there are often stories that can be elaborated and changed to make into a thriller movie.
In the news at the moment I found stories which i could get ideas from to come up with an idea for my own thriller opening:
Alain Hegarty aged 62 from Burnham-on-sea, somerset, was convicted and jailed for sexually abusing a girl under the age of 13 in 2005. He was re called to jail after victim's family were concerned that Hegarty had contacted children using the social networking sight, 'Facebook'. Police now work with 'Facebook' to tackle pedophilia by known sex predators.
Another story is the appearance of remains found in a church in Potenza which are thought to be of Elisa Claps, aged 16, who has been missing since 1993. Police have been investigating a link between her and Heather Barnett who was found mutilated in her home in 2002. She has been accused of having the young girls belongings in her household. DNA tests are being carried out to determine whether they belong to the young girl.
